A leading city law firm require an IT assistant to provide a variety of support duties and project work for the firm. The remit will be broad and will involve a mixture of first and second line support, assistance on ongoing projects, and day to day processes.

A minimum of six months experience in IT support is required as they do need someone who has a grounding already. Previous experience within a law firm IT team would be an advantage but not essential. Familiarity with most hardware will be expected, i.e. setting up PCs, IT equipment etc. and an instinct for picking up new software quickly (albeit with training) will be key. Good communications skills will also be needed as you will be a part of a cohesive IT team as well as engaging with members of staff with updates and troubleshooting IT queries.

The firm have a good track record of mentoring staff and are prepared to invest their time and resources in the right person so long as they have a positive attitude and are motivated to learn.
