Our client is looking for a Senior Lead Developer to help play a key role in out a brand-new technology function. This hybrid role offers a fantastic opportunity with a clear path towards technical leadership or architecture.

Senior Lead Developer

Bracknell – 3-4 days on site (hybrid)

Up to £70,000 per annum

The Role:

As the Senior Lead you\’ll be joining at an exciting time, helping to design and deliver digital products and platforms that will reshape the way the business operates. It\’s a hands-on development role, but also one with real influence-ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring, technical leadership, and working closely with the CTO on shaping long-term strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure applications using .NET (C#) and SQL Server.
  • Lead technical design sessions and provide architectural input on new initiatives.
  • Help build and support infrastructure components as part of the application lifecycle (e.g. deployment pipelines, cloud infrastructure, monitoring tools).
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, security, testing, and documentation.
  • Mentor and support developers, contributing to a culture of continuous development.
  • Play a key role in defining and shaping the department\’s development processes and tools.
  • Participate in strategic planning and provide insights into technology roadmaps.

Experience & Skills:

  • Strong experience with .NET Framework / .NET Core, C#, and related technologies.
  • Solid SQL knowledge
  • Good understanding of infrastructure fundamentals (e.g., networking, servers, cloud services-Azure ).
  • Experience working with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and lead from a technical standpoint.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Agile / Scrum methodology familiarity.
