Actuarial Analyst – Pricing (Graduate Programme) Location: North Shields, Newcastle upon Tyne (Hybrid, 2-3 days in office per week, flexible) We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level/Junior Actuarial Pricing Analyst to join our growing team at a leading insurance company based in North Shields, Newcastle upon Tyne . Specializing in new driver, learner, taxi, and courier insurance, we offer a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career actuarial professional to gain hands-on experience in pricing models. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the development and pricing of insurance products tailored to new drivers, learners, taxi drivers, and couriers. Collaborate with senior actuaries to analyse data, build pricing models, and assess risks for various insurance segments. Contribute to the preparation and presentation of pricing recommendations. Help maintain and refine actuarial assumptions for both existing and new products. Support pricing strategies to ensure competitive and sustainable pricing models. Ideal Candidate: A degree in Data Science , Mathematics & Statistics , Actuarial Science , or a related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. Some experience or internships in an actuarial role (preferably with pricing exposure). Strong proficiency in Excel ; experience with R , Python , or other statistical modeling tools is a plus. A strong interest in the insurance industry, particularly pricing. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills with a collaborative mindset. What We Offer: Hybrid work arrangement (2-3 days per week in the office). Competitive salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year (raising every 6 months).
