The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

As a Quality technician you will actively contribute to the Specialised Nutrition quality ambition to deliver products of consistent, specified quality and uncompromising safety.

You will have an eye for detail and understand systems in order to trend and monitor factory standards. Identify re-occurring issues and help to drive continuous improvement.

Drive continuous improvement and Right first-time culture throughout the organisation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

Have knowledge of the use and implementation of root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Maintaining and improving quality standards using principles of lean manufacturing techniques / methodologies

To be responsible for ensuring all operations within the areas of responsibility are carried out in a safe manner. To be fully aware of company procedures relating to Fire Evacuation, Accident Reporting, and Food Safety. To ensure all staff behaves in a safe and responsible manner within the area of responsibility.

Role is assessed against the Quality Functional road map and is highly transversal internally within Quality as well as other Danone functions such as Product Development, Production, Planning, Finance,

Balancing operational requirements against strategic vision

Developing and managing strong relations within internal and external stakeholders

Ability to look at bigger picture of requirements whilst working at day to day detail level

Decisions taken can impact patients’ lives, as it’s a sole source of nutrition and requires contact with medical advisory groups at times

To be successful in this role you will be :

  • Professionally experienced, Contribution to business strategy

Junior-Understand business objectives and quality plans to be able to translate them into KPI’s for her/his team.

Project and portfolio management

Qualified-Define and manage projects in her/his area focus on developing personal skills and support business moving forward.

Client and consumer management

Junior-Understands the organization and processes used to listen to clients and consumers and collect data.

Formulation, process and equipment

Qualified-Knowledge of formulation, process and equipment is critical to act rapidly on completing risk assessment for preventing re-occurring issues.

Food science

Junior- Has the basic knowledge in raw materials, packs and finished products, required to understand the internal environment (chemistry, microbiology, physics).

Quality and Food Safety management System

Experienced-Identifies and leads improvement of processes in order to improve efficiency of Quality & Food Safety Systems.

Analysis and Risk Management

Junior-Knows the risks in his/her area and the actions needed to manage them using a risk analysis tools based in HACCP principles.

Sustainable Environment Management

Junior-Knowledge and understanding the content in ISO 14000 and set KPI’s to manage and monitor compliance.

Food Regulation

Junior- Understands the nutritional basics.

Problem solving PDCA

Experienced- Validates the relevance of Problem solving,

Helps teams to decide priorities, when useful, orientates the Problem-Solving Group towards

advanced tools & Methods

  • Preferred/ nice to have: Quality Control Officer or Manager in a Pharmaceutical or high end FMCG company or associated role, Experience of working in a fast-paced international organisation

Travel %: Some international travel involved to attend meetings, conferences or visit other supply points/CBU’s

  • Educated to degree level or industry experienced/ Professional qualifications

  • Experience of working in a Quality environment essential

  • Experience of manufacturing preferred

  • Strong Quality Management / Improvement background advantageous

  • Relevant academic qualifications/experience

  • Significant work experience in leading teams in pharma or FMCG environment

  • Capable of working on multiple priorities and setting targets and timeframes
