We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic English Lecturer to join our friendly and hard-working team.

In this rewarding post you will be delivering teaching on our GCSE & FS English to our 16-19 year old learners.

Working closely with the Programme Manager and the rest of the team, you will have the chance to share your knowledge and skills with students to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College. In particular, you will have a strong focus on delivering innovative and student led learning.

You will also be responsible for acting as a personal tutor, promoting and tracking attendance, participating in team meetings and contributing to the planning, development and review activities within your subject area.

The successful candidate must have:

  • A full teaching qualification

  • Able to deliver FS and GCSE English

  • A minimum of an A Level in English Language (though a Degree qualification would be strongly desired)

  • Recent GCSE & Functional Skills teaching experience (ideally within an FE environment)

  • Experience teaching both adults students and 16-18 year olds, Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK as we do not sponsor work permits, and work permits from other organisations are unacceptable as proof of right to work in the UK.
