Job Description Payroll Officer Location: Kirkcaldy Type: Full-Time, Permanent Working Arrangement: Fully Onsite Salary: Competitive base salary Eden Scott\’s Accountancy & Finance Division is delighted to be supporting a well-regarded Accountancy Practice in Kirkcaldy in their search for a Payroll Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a supportive and reputable firm offering ongoing training and development. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing across a varied client portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls from start to finish Maintain accurate employee records including hours, deductions, and benefits Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and statutory requirements Handle payroll queries and liaise with clients professionally Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external use Support audits and contribute to continuous process improvements What We\’re Looking For Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel A proactive and professional approach to client service This role is ideal for someone looking to build on their payroll expertise in a stable and well-supported environment.
