Description
In 2025, we’re doubling down on outbound and event-led growth in the UK—and we’re looking for an Sales Development Representative to lead the charge. You’ll own outbound execution and event prospecting, helping us generate high-quality pipeline from a focused list of high-potential UK companies that fit our ideal customer profile—and turn top-tier prospects into real opportunities. Working as part of the growth team, you’ll help shape the tactics that connect marketing efforts to pipeline.
- This is a remote role based in the UK, with ~2–3 days/month of in-person time for co-working sessions in London and UK events like RecFest and IHR Live.
- You’ll be our only Outbound Exec in the UK, reporting into the Growth Marketing team, and working closely with Events, Partnerships, Sales, and RevOps to drive outbound and event-led pipeline.
- You’ll have plenty of support, but this is a high-ownership, fast-paced role. We’re still in startup mode—things move quickly, some processes are still in flux, and you’ll need to be proactive, adaptable, and hands-on.
- We’re looking for someone with a growth mindset and a commercial lens—you like solving problems, getting things shipped, learning through iteration, and taking initiative without waiting for permission.
- Our valuesshape how we work. We’re looking for someone who brings them to life in everything they do.
About the Role:
- Deliver outbound sequences to relevant prospects within our UK SAM using LinkedIn, email, phone, and other channels
- Attend UK-based events as a Pinpoint representative—working the stand, identifying high-potential leads, and following up to maximize ROI
- Develop AE-level product knowledge so you can tailor conversations and represent the product with confidence
- Collaborate with the growth marketing team to execute outbound tactics, contribute to growth sprints, and refine messaging by segment
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, RevOps, and Partnerships to align on playbooks and experiment with new approaches
- Contribute directly to revenue targets—your work will create qualified opportunities and real deals for the business
About You:
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar role; might not check every box, but eager to learn and grow
- Organized, proactive, and dependable — you take ownership, follow through, and don’t need micromanagement
- Commercially savvy — you connect your work to outcomes, understand how outbound contributes to revenue, and ask “why,” not just “what”
- Comfortable engaging with prospects in person, over the phone, and across digital channels
- Collaborative and motivated by shared goals — you enjoy working cross-functionally and being part of a small, ambitious team
- Resilient and resourceful — able to navigate objections, adapt tactics, and keep momentum
- Based in the UK, with experience working remotely
- Stage 2 Deals (S2s): Your primary focus will be generating high-quality opportunities—specifically Stage 2 deals (prospects who’ve completed a first meeting and are moving forward). Stage 1s (meetings booked) are great, but S2s are the real benchmark for success. You’ll have a clear S2 target to work toward each month.
- Lead source mix: Not all leads are created equal. We’ll look at where your deals come from—whether that’s outbound, events, or inbound—and make sure your performance and compensation reflect that mix. The goal is to drive net new revenue, and we want to reward the activity that gets us there.
- Competencies & values: We’re a values-led team (Fast, Flexible, Human, Ownership), and we’ll be looking for those to show up in your day-to-day. We’ll also assess things like initiative, accountability, and how you prioritise your time.
- Running outbound plays: Launching a new sequence built by the growth team—sending emails, connecting on LinkedIn, and tailoring messages to get attention.
- Event prep: Digging into attendee lists ahead of a live event. You’ll find key prospects, learn about their hiring challenges, and get them into event-specific campaigns.
- Prospect follow-up: Giving someone a call a few days after they received brownies from us—starting a conversation about their hiring challenges and how we might help.
- Team collaboration: Joining the marketing team for a brainstorm session, throwing out ideas for new messaging angles, and syncing on what’s working
- Inbound & recycled leads: You’ll get warm leads from our marketing activity—and leads from past opportunities that didn’t convert the first time around.
- Event lists: For events we sponsor or host, you’ll work the pre-, during-, and post-event pipeline.
- Strategic outbound lists: You’ll also go after high-potential accounts from our UK Strategic Addressable Market (SAM)—hand-picked prospects that match our ideal customer profile. With support from your manager and RevOps, you’ll focus on narrow, high-quality segments (e.g. companies using a competitor ATS).
