An exciting opportunity to be part of our successful Superdrug Supply Chain; working within one of our busy Distribution centres as a Warehouse Operative.
This vacancy is for the Savers DC know as Stead House Distribution Centre; based in Darlington. The hours of will we be predominantly as stated above but flexibility will be required across all other shift patterns.

The Warehouse operative working in the Dispatch area plays a key role in ensuring that the customers (stores) orders are picked & loaded in a neat, accurate and safe manner to meet daily deadlines. You will be required to work out weights when loading so a high level of numeracy is required. This role will report to the Operations Team Leader for Stead House Distribution Centre.
A typical day in this role includes:
Loading/Unloading cages on a daily basis
Asset tracking cages in and out of the DC+ cage tracking on wins
Ensuring all agreed daily/weekly work performances are achieved to the required standard as a minimum
Always maintaining excellent loading standards
Ensuring that all loaded stock is clean and undamaged, reporting any issues to your Line Manager
Keeping the work area clean and tidy by adopting a βClean-As-You-Goβ discipline. (This may include, but not limited to: cleaning up spills, wiping down surfaces, removing waste bins and generally keeping the work area, tools and equipment clean, safe, and free from hazard)
Assisting the Operational Team in all aspects of Health and Safety and reporting all accidents/incidents/ near misses immediately to your Line Manager.

Previous despatch experience within a warehouse environment (not essential)
Experience of bar code readers (HHT)/ would be an advantage
Flexible approach to performing other duties within the warehouse as requested by your Line Manager
High level of numeracy
Excellent time and attendance record
Good teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work on your own
