About the Role
We have an opportunity to join our team as a Senior Spa Receptionist. In this role you will be the first point of contact for our guests arriving at the Spa & Leisure reception and will provide a friendly, efficient and professional first impression.
As the Senior Spa Receptionist, you will ensure that all shifts run smoothly and efficiently, taking responsibility for the entire Spa & Leisure Reception Team, you will have a strong awareness of all Spa and Leisure areas and a complete understanding of the department and the hotels various facilities to offer the very highest level of customer service.You will be a role model within the team and be an invaluable resource for all Reception Team members.
Your responsibilities will include;
Guest Registration
·Welcome and check-in all guests in a cheerful and professional manner that aligns with Preferred, AA & Visit Scotland standards, and acknowledge those who are waiting.
·Offer guests to be shown to their Spa lockers and informed about Spa facilities including the Spa Café and relevant opening hours.
·To be aware of any treatment moves and guest concerns each day.
·Ensuring strong communication links with the Reception Team, Spa Cafe team, Therapist team and Attendant team regarding all details relating to guest’s arrival, departure, and requirements including all VIP details.
·To check special requests and act accordingly to ensure that the guests receive the service that they require.
Guest Departure
·To ensure that all guests departing the facilities are addressed in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring to ask how their experience was.
·To efficiently deal with any billing queries that might arise.
·To ensure that any relevant information such as feedback/complaints are handed over to the Senior/Management team in a timely manner.
Information Services
·To be a point of contact for guests in providing information on the hotel facilities including food and beverage outlet opening times and the Dukes Club House.
·Ensure that the reception team are knowledgeable in the hotel facilities by sharing information with them of updates to hotel facilities.
·To be knowledgeable about the Kohler Waters Spa and services offered.
·To have excellent knowledge about the surrounding area, local attractions, and amenities.
Training & Development
·To implement, in conjunction with Spa Operations Manager, training plans & procedures to provide on the job training to all team members.
·Always make sure staff motivation and morale at the highest level.
·To provide constructive feedback to team members on a continuous basis.
·To help with training for all new starts and be aware of all training S.O.P’s.
·To seek opportunities, in conjunction with the Spa Operations Manager, to provide continuous coaching, training & testing of Preferred, Visit Scotland & AA Standards and ensuring the correct processes regarding training are kept up to date and continuous.
·To monitor shift handovers and ensure that these are handled in a professional and beneficial manner to all team members.
·Manage absence of team members ensuring swift follow-up and involvement of appropriate managers if necessary.
·To ensure that all daily administrative tasks are kept up to date and all team members are following daily tasks
