We are a market leader in special purpose vehicles, and we’re seeking an experienced Mobile Service Technician to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who thrives in a field-based role and enjoys working independently.
About the Role
As a Mobile Service Technician, you’ll travel to customer sites to carry out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on specialist vehicles and equipment. You’ll act as the face of our service operation, ensuring a high standard of workmanship and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites as a Mobile Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair special purpose vehicles.
- Carry out repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Manage your own workload and communicate updates clearly with the Service Team.
- Complete all service sheets, job cards, and documentation accurately as part of the Mobile Service Technician role.
- Promote parts and services where appropriate.
- Maintain a professional image at all times, including company van cleanliness and on-site behaviour.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualified mechanic (HGV, plant, forklift, military engineering, or automotive).
- Strong experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and diagnostic procedures.
- Background working with special purpose vehicles, mobile plant, or forklifts highly beneficial.
- Excellent customer service skills essential for a Mobile Service Technician.
- Knowledge of diesel and electric engines.
- Reasonably clean driving licence required.
- Willingness to travel for field service work regularly.
