We are looking for an Account Manager to join our Sales team
We are expanding our sales team in the UK & Ireland and are looking for a new Account Manager. The successful candidate will be working within our UK&I PublicSector team and will be focused on increasing our revenue and market share in theGovernment and Defense vertical. The role supports secure central government accounts, with a primary focus on Defense and additional involvement across other government departments.
We are looking for a candidate who has a proven track record in managing complexcustomers, growing revenue and market share within the Public Sector and hasexperience with Enterprise Software, Unified Communication, or Video Conferencing solutions. You must be passionate, happy to take responsibility for your actions and performance, and are a team player with strong integrity. Your Day-to-Day:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive adoption of video
collaboration solutions within the UK Ministry of Defense (MoD), defense
primes, and the broader Defense Industrial Base (DIB). - Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the UK defense sector,
leveraging existing relationships and market intelligence. - Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders across defense
procurement, program teams, and system integrators. - Navigate complex procurement cycles and frameworks such as DSP
(Defense Sourcing Portal), CCS, and relevant defense acquisition processes. - Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to align solutions with
specific defense program requirements and operational use cases. - Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and defense
technology forums to build brand awareness and network within the sector.
What you\’ll bring:
- Minimum of 5+ years of sales or business development experience within the UK defense sector, ideally with a focus on technology or secure
communications. - Deep understanding of UK defense program, procurement processes,
and key decision-makers within the MoD and defense primes. - Proven ability to manage closing complex deals and navigate long sales cycles in a highly regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of secure video collaboration technologies,
cybersecurity principles, or adjacent ICT solutions. - Ability to obtain and maintain UK security clearance (SC or higher preferred).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Job will be home based however you will be expected to be in the Reading office as required.
