About The Role
Definition:
The person responsible for producing the written elements of tender and pre-qualification submissions for Coffey. They will collaborate with various departments and team members to develop excellent tender and proposal content to win projects.
Responsibilities:
- Be accountable for the quality of tender submissions.
- Provide technical and non-technical input into pre-qualification submissions demonstrating the company’s expertise, capability, and experience.
- Support designers and estimators with technical and non-technical aspects of tender submissions.
- Manage the submission process as the Submission Manager when assigned.
- Identify required inputs within tenders or pre-qualification submissions and coordinate contributions from others inside and outside the company.
- Guide the Proposals Team and subject matter experts on responses to narrative questions, including experience, technical issues, project organization, and HSQE topics.
- Manage tender and pre-qualification documentation and record-keeping.
- Maintain systems and libraries related to bid documentation production.
- Record and analyze feedback on proposal submissions and lead initiatives for improvement.
- Promote continuous improvement within the Proposals Team.
- Recruit and manage personnel within the team.
- Supervise the Tender Opportunities Register and assign work to team members.
- Familiarize with the Group’s HSQE Management Systems.
About You
Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant construction discipline or equivalent experience.
- Over 10 years’ experience in the Construction Industry.
- Understanding of the construction process through relevant experience.
- Understanding of procurement processes.
- Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude towards workload and learning.
- Collaborative approach with team members within proposals, tendering, and the wider company.
- Team-oriented, willing to work with subject matter specialists to create excellent tenders.
- Excellent communication skills to manage the proposals team and build relationships across the company.
- Self-driven, proactive, and eager to develop improvements and industry knowledge.
- Ability to manage work within fixed deadlines.
