Job Description:

Our client, a global financial services firm, is looking for an Account Manager – TAX to join their team in Glasgow on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment!

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with the process involved and documentation necessary for Tax reclaims and Relief at Source.
  • Practical knowledge of UK and/or Global markets, demonstrated by experience with market-specific transactions.
  • Technical expertise, including a sound working knowledge of policies, procedures, regulations, and legislation within client delivery.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Innovation and continuous improvement—ability to use own initiative and work under volume pressure.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manual processing for all aspects of Tax.
  • Tax reclaim and Relief at Source tasks covering all markets and clients.
  • Tax reporting involvement.
  • Processing and completing tasks in line with procedures.
  • Ensuring all key controls and assigned tasks are completed timely.
  • Query management—ensuring queries are answered accurately and promptly.
  • Updating and maintaining key controls.
  • Liaising with clients and internal parties to resolve custody activity issues.
  • Daily reconciliation and clearance of cash breaks.
  • Regularly updating ROME Lite and all other Risk Frameworks.
  • Proactively improving current processing methods.
  • Building strong relationships with all parties and working effectively as a team.
  • Assisting in building KPIs and metrics to monitor risk and control frameworks.
  • Updating and maintaining procedures, proposing improvements when appropriate.
  • Participating in ad-hoc projects as required.
