Credit Underwriter – Asset Finance
Location: Manchester – hybrid
Salary: To £70,000 with very attractive bonus and benefits
Our client is a highly respected and well-established finance company who operates across a broad range of assets. Due to growth, they are looking to recruit a Credit Underwriter.
Responsibilities:
- Expert evaluation and underwriting of all business channels in line with agreed domestic and central risk policies.
- Maintain and promote good governance, credit processes, and agreed service levels for all business origination, approvals, collateral, and restructuring.
- Analyse credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit in all business channels, primarily for mid-ticket transactions.
- Support sales-aid leasing/flow business when required.
- Generate and evaluate financial ratios and exercise personal sanctioning authority.
- Maintain compliance with all leading industry guidelines.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have several years’ experience in a risk-focused role within an Asset Finance background with a personal mandate.
