Endeavour Recruitment is looking for a Video CPE HW Architect/Tech Lead to work in the Video CPE department for an international telecoms client based in the Netherlands.
The contract would be initially till the end of year, with possible extensions in the new year.
The successful candidate will be involved in the following tasks:
- Leading new STB HW platform projects from a technical perspective from idea phase to deployment with focus on HW design, component selection, etc.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to capture product, functional, non-functional and end-to-end requirements.
- Leading investigation and analysis of requirements to define the technical HW design for the new HW platform taking both technical and business aspects into account.
- Managing, from a technical point of view, RFP processes for new STB hardware with HW vendors.
- Reviewing and approving HW vendor technical solutions, designs and specifications.
- Together with project manager define a project plan and structure for the project.
- Throughout the project being the technical lead, tracking and managing the HW vendor development as well as internal activities.
For this role it\’s mandatory that you bring your own device with the following minimal requirements:
- Screen 15β FHD, Mat
- Fast SSD 500GB
- 16 GB DDR4 -2400MHz
- i7-7700HQ Quad Core processor (6 MB cache, up to 3.8 GHz)
Essential skills and experience:
- HW experience is a MUST.
- Master degree in electrical engineering or equivalent knowledge obtained through education and work experience.
- At least 5 years of direct exposure to hardware architecture and design within digital video and/or customer premises equipment. Ex. SoCs, tuners, HDMI, Wifi, RF memory, thermal management. This experience is mandatory and candidates without will not be considered.
- At least 3 years of experience with technical project management and vendor management.
- Good understanding of STB related technologies.
- Good understanding of Linux-based Embedded SW architecture and real-time software.
- Excellent English and good communicator, both written and spoken.
– Experience from STB development is preferred.
