Petrofac is looking to recruit an onshore Electrical Technician based at the Flotta terminal, United Kingdom.

JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· To maintain processing plant and associated equipment, including Power Generation and Distribution system, HV & LV Motors, UPS systems and EX Equipment, in a safe and efficient manner, in compliance with all statutory requirements.
· Carry out planned preventative, remedial and breakdown maintenance in accordance with Repsol Sinopec’s maintenance management system.
· Provide first line response to any major/minor Terminal emergency events, including medical / rescue / fire or gas / radiation / or pollution incidents, in line with the COMAH Safety Report and Internal and External Emergency Plans.
· Carry out electrical maintenance activities as follows:
· Complete preventative and remedial maintenance in accordance with Maximo schedule and work instructions, with particular emphasis on safety critical activities.
· Carry out fault finding and diagnostic checks on all site equipment, ensuring any repairs are addressed promptly.
· Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner and carry out and apply effective fault finding and investigation techniques.
· Carry out major services, overhauls, and intrusive maintenance of onsite equipment.
· Carry out and participate in Root Cause Analysis to improve equipment reliability.
· Ensure comprehensive work history is recorded in Maximo and any follow-up work and material required is identified.
· Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at shift and crew change.
· Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency in cost or time without loss of integrity and present idea(s) to relevant management.
· Support and improve team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices.
· Participate in PFM competence scheme including any multi skilled role in accordance with the relevant competence framework.
· Adopt a flexible working attitude to provide support across all departments to ensure team success.
· Create, maintain & enhance effective working relations minimizing interpersonal conflict.
· Maintain effective communication with all work colleagues at all levels.
· Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and be able to apply it in the workplace.
· Carrying out preventative and remedial maintenance on emergency response and safety equipment and appliances.
· Responding to breakdowns in a timely manner and carrying out and applying effective fault finding and investigation techniques.
· Carrying out and participating in Root Cause Analysis to improve equipment reliability.
· Ensuring comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at crew change.
· Supporting and improving team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices
· Responding to Terminal Incidents when off duty and being available if required
· Providing confined space and working at height rescues when required.
· Attending offsite emergencies as directed by the Terminal Management.
· Regularly participating in emergency response drills and exercises
· Member of the Emergency Response Fire Team and/or Incident Control Team covering residential on-call working on rotation
· Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with Repsol Sinopec’s HS&E policy, procedures and Safety Management System.
· Be familiar with and always follow the Repsol Sinopec Golden Rules for Health and Safety.
· Comply with all relevant PFM HS&E policies and procedures where appropriate.
· Actively participate and support all Repsol Sinopec and PFM, Safety & Environmental plans, initiatives, and improvements.
· Carry out all activities in accordance with ISSOW including the following:
· Comprehensive and detailed Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks.
· Stop and re-asses any job where change is identified.
· Report all accidents and incidents.
· Carry out Emergency Response duties in accordance with Repsol Sinopec’s requirements.

· Cell Order Training
· HV Switching & System Control (City & Guilds 0672)
· IEE Wiring Regulations Latest Edition
· Inspection & Testing of Portable Electrical Equipment (PAT Testing)
· Overhead Gantry Crane Training
· Mobile Elevated Work Platform (Boom)
· Mobile Elevated Work Platform (Vehicle Mounted)
· Core Trade NSVQ (Level 3) Certification or Equivalent
· ISSoW – Permit Vision software training
· OPITO and IOSH Authorized Gas Tester – Combined Levels 1, 2 & 3 (CBT)
· Electrical Safety Rules (including TLM015 and Electricity at Work Regs)
· Lubrication Appreciation – RSRUK Level 2
· Additional Emergency Response Fire Team Training Requirements
· Offshore Emergency Response Team Member
· Working at Height Unit 3 – Use of Rescue Equipment (ARK)
· Safe Storage and Handling of Explosives (CBT)
· Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT)
· Police Scotland Counter Terrorism Training
· Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
· Previous experience in a similar role
· Previous experience with Maximo or similar CMMS
· Computer literate including use of Microsoft office suite.
