Position: CCTV Technician Salary: £35,329 per annum Location: Mobile role based around the West/East Midlands region. Ideal candidate located: Oxford Benefits: Company Car/Van, company pension scheme, 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) We are advertising this Security Commissioning/Installation Engineer/CCTV Technician on behalf of our client ‘City Facilities Management’ under the CBES contract. City were established in 1985 and the company has grown to become one of the world’s largest privately held, integrated FM companies. Key Accountabilities: * Multiple system type installation to commissioning of intruder alarm systems, CCTV systems, Access Control systems, EAS and other bespoke security systems in accordance with the current standards and Codes of Practice. * Work within project time constraints, identifying and communicating without delay any potential risks to the project delivery dates, communicate with Project Managers to ensure projects and small works are completed on a snag free base and to the specification. * Ability to commission and handover systems in line with the specification and drawings, including giving client demonstrations. * Relevant security qualifications and a full understanding of BS5839 * Ensure timesheets and all other relevant paperwork is completed on time. * Undertake any relevant training as required. * Ensure all relevant H&S requirements are complied with. * Ensure the health, safety and welfare of yourself and the team in accordance with Company policy. * Completion of the relevant e-documentation (via tablet) or paperwork in line with NSI requirements * Too actively support at all times, company policy and best practice in the area of fire and security, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information. * Knowledge of integration of detection & CCTV systems into other disciplines would be a real advantage. * Product knowledge of Honeywell Galaxy Intruder, ACT & Honeywell Access Control, Analogue & IP CCTV systems would be advantageous including full programming of systems. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * A proven background and experience of working on CCTV, Intruder and Access Control projects. * Knowledge of Honeywell Galaxy Intruder, ACT, Honeywell access Control, Analogue and IP CCTV systems would be a real advantage. * Ability to install and commission systems for CCTV, Intruder Alarm, Access Control, and other bespoke security systems. * Good communication skills are required as the majority of the role will involve being in a customer facing environment. * The ability to work alone and effectively organise your time. * A good understanding of the Standards which relate to our Industry and the systems we install is required. * A good understanding of Health and Safety is essential. * Full clean driving licence and a willingness to travel to locations across the UK. * ECS/CSCS Card. * A flexible attitude to working hours is necessary and we require a willingness to travel to locations across the country. Some overnight stays will be required. * Previous experience of working within a retail Security Systems environment is preferred. * Network/IP based product experience. Desirable: * Ideally have SSSTS or SMSTS cards or a willingness to achieve these. * Relevant Qualification. * Supervisor experience including full project delivery.
