Job Description:
What is the job role?
We are seeking a Senior Social Worker to assess social workers and supervise connected persons foster carers. This is a full-time position – 37 hours per week, for a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
The connected persons team focuses on supporting children in their extended family networks, aligning with our family valued programme. Successful candidates will contribute to this growth area and support high-quality care for connected persons and special guardians.
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are not offering sponsorship for this role.
This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act; appointment is conditional upon a satisfactory DBS check.
Who are we looking for?
The candidate will manage assessments of prospective carers, supervise foster carers, support team managers with initial assessments, and collaborate with children’s social work teams. There will also be opportunities to enhance support to carers through training and events.
