What my client is looking for

• 5–8 years’ experience in legal compliance within a law firm environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong numerical accuracy, and solid IT skills (particularly Excel and Word).
• Ability to work to deadlines with strong organisation, attention to detail and teamwork.
• Good working knowledge of personal injury law and the SRA Code of Conduct.
• Degree-educated (preferred but not essential).
• Practical knowledge of cyber security and information risk.

What you’ll be doing

• Auditing files to ensure regulatory compliance, documenting processes and reporting on findings.
• Responding to staff compliance queries and maintaining accurate data records.
• Organising inductions and delivering regular compliance training and updates.
• Owning and developing the firm’s cyber awareness programme.
• Conducting file reviews and managing complaints handling.
• Taking responsibility for data protection matters, including subject access requests.
• Managing and developing junior compliance staff.
