We have a fantastic opportunity for an Environmental Compliance Advisor tojoin our team based nationally with flexible working. The salary on offer is from Β£36,000 plus car allowance.
This will be a 12month FTC.
(A valid driving licence and access to a personal vehicle are essential for this role).
About the role:
This role will form part of the Environment Focus area within the wider Energy & Environment team and be a key role in helping NHS Property Services to deliver environmental compliance and improvement across the estate. This role will include the development, piloting, implementation, and transition of multiple environmental compliance projects into business-as-usual processes. The role will play a key part in reducing adverse environmental impact across the organisation. Reporting into the Environment & Compliance Manager, the Environmental Compliance Advisor will work closely with Regional Energy and environmental, Hard FM Compliance and Delivery teams.
What you will bring to the role:
- Support the delivery of performance indicators and to ensure the business achieves continuous improvements
- Deliver key environmental training such as Emergency spill response to relevant colleagues within the deliver team
- Develop and implement environmental engagement programmes to increase environmental awareness among NHSPS colleagues
- Continuously improve the environmental incident management processes and its associated database as well as fulfilling its reporting requirements
- Play an advisory and supporting to onsite teams for the completion of audit actions and inspections
- Liaise with key stakeholders to promote cross functional engagement and collaboration
- Upskill Regional Energy and environmental managers in environmental to enable them to implement environmental initiatives with their regions
- Lead on emergency risk management and ensure effective assurance practices including risk-based inspections are available
- Collaborate closely with other relevant functions to ensure environmental compliance is integrated in daily operations
