Our clients have an exciting opportunity for a Cell Leader to join their growing team, close to Farnborough.

The Cell Leader will be responsible for the Paint shop and lead a team of 5 people working in the team.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day people management, including performance appraisals and identifying training requirements. The Cell Leader is responsible for developing plans to efficiently use materials, labour and equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Ensuring the lean principles are embedded in the department and providing continuous improvement solutions

Ensuring production efficiencies are communicated throughout the team and that they are met in line with staffing levels available

Ensuring staffing levels are reviewed periodically and action is taken to meet the forward production plan

Communicating clearly and effectively with your team to ensure they are aware of production priorities, and the schedule is being adhered to, in conjunction with the Factory plan.

Ensuring quality standards are communicated throughout the team and are adhered to at all times

Ensuring all health & safety requirements are communicated and adhered to.

Keeping track of shelf life for paints

Managing day to day personnel issues within the department.

Promoting and maintain good housekeeping and ensuring the environment is safe and clean at all times in line with 7s

Ensuring that the team is performing their duties as required

General departmental administration

Maintaining an inventory of raw materials and finished products

Purchasing needed inventory and maintaining BOM status

Plan and manage the departmental budget

Required Skills & Experience

Wet Paint experience

Leader and mentoring experience

Continuous Improvement 5S, 6S, 7S etc

Working Hours

08:00hrs 16:45hrs, Mondays Thursdays with a half-hour break for lunch and 8.00hrs 13.00hrs on Fridays
