NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
1x permanent post, 37 hours per week, shift pattern : 08.00-16.00 (4 days per week) 08.00-15.30 (Friday)
The Obstetrics, Gynaecology and PFP Service GGC exists to deliver high quality physiotherapy to all patients. We are looking for an enthusiastic physiotherapist with a passion for developing their career within the Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy speciality to join our team at Princess Royal Maternity Hospital in Glasgow.
We provide specialist services to both ante and post-natal inpatients and outpatients as well as gynaecology inpatients. The physiotherapy service also delivers education in the form of ante-natal classes, pelvic girdle pain classes and Enhanced Recovery for Obstetric Surgery in Scotland (EROSS) classes. We also provide a weekend physiotherapy service to cover the post-natal wards and clinical placements for university students.
The physiotherapist in the role will employ specialist knowledge and skills to assist the management of patients with complex obstetric conditions, patients following major gynecological surgery and patients with pelvic floor dysfunctions.
All staff within the physiotherapy service must comply with Division and Departmental Policies in addition to complying with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Professional Standards and Rules of Professional Conduct.
