About This Role:

As a Biogen Healthcare Partner (BHP) in the Rare Diseases Business Unit, you will serve as the lead point of contact for a group of high-value hospital accounts. This role is pivotal in driving the rare diseases P&L in your region, acting as the strategic account lead to understand customer needs within the healthcare environment. You\’ll engage with healthcare professionals such as medical doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, along with decision-makers like business managers and NHS stakeholders, ensuring Biogen\’s success in these accounts. With a balanced approach of face-to-face and digital interactions, you will coordinate customer engagement activities and manage key projects aligned with Biogen\’s objectives. Your insights and strategic planning will contribute significantly to the business, making this role vital for the advancement of Biogen\’s rare disease offerings.

What You\’ll Do:

  • Build and maintain deep understanding of customers\’ needs and healthcare contexts.
  • Map relevant customers and engage with them to enhance Biogen\’s value proposition.
  • Coordinate the gathering of account insights and customer preference data.
  • Develop and continuously update Strategic Account Plans and Customer Engagement Plans.
  • Collaborate with the nexus customer excellence team to create bespoke engagement plans.
  • Manage local budgets for activities and monitor expenditures with your line manager.
  • Share best practices and coordinate with other BHPs within Biogen UK.
  • Execute all activities within compliance regulations and budgets.
  • Lead customer engagement on Biogen\’s therapy area offerings through personalized, omnichannel communication.
  • Build trusted relationships, becoming a \’partner of choice\’ for healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinate cross-functional customer engagement teams for a streamlined approach.
  • Maintain best-in-class knowledge of the UK healthcare system and therapy areas.
  • Actively seek external learning opportunities and participate in training sessions.

Who You Are:

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor\’s degree preferred, preferably in the sciences.
  • Significant experience in customer engagement within the pharma industry with a commercial objective, experience in rare disease is highly desirable
  • Full understanding of the ABPI Code of Conduct.
  • Proven track record of accountability for business outcomes and cross-functional collaboration.
  • High-level proficiency in customer engagement both face-to-face and virtually.
  • Strong project management skills with oversight of regional projects.

  • Product Launch experience is highly desirable
