UK-Remote
Trading since 1989, e.surv Chartered Surveyors is the UK\’s number one residential surveyor and the largest provider of property risk expertise and residential surveying services. We complete more than one property inspection every 12 seconds and employ over 600 surveyors from Land’s End to John O’Groats and Northern Ireland. This gives us the flexibility to offer nationwide coverage combined with invaluable local knowledge. We are part of the LSL Property Services Group PLC, which includes Your Move and Reeds Rains as well as the mortgage network PRIMIS. We work with lenders, intermediaries, social housing entities, estate agents and private customers.
The Surveying Quality Manager will work as part of the wider Technical and Quality teams who assist the Head of Quality in providing advisory services to internal stakeholders. The role will involve active monitoring of surveyor technical compliance and provision of technical guidance to the business and suppliers. Regular national travel may be required with presence in the Kettering Office (NN15 6PP) to suit business needs.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance e.surv’s internal policies and controls with Quality and Technical teams.
- Work closely with Customer Care to mitigate against and reflect on indemnity claims and the Post Valuation Query team to reduce the number of queries into the business.
- Work with the Project Team as a subject matter expert on internal products.
- Attend regular internal meetings.
- Monitor and react to industry news and policy changes.
- Contribute to articles and analysis of industry press on a range of issues affecting the sector including detailed analysis on key aspects of the residential market.
- Create and issue regular guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Answer internal technical and policy queries within SLA agreement.
- Support Learning and Development in creating learning material for internal compliance.
- Become a Technical and Quality lead within the e.surv B2C environment, providing guidance on level of reports; including Home Survey Product technical guidance, MI analysis and audit support.
- Contribute to audit and quality compliance.
- Input on contracts, with relation to SME lead on B2C Products.
- Support with internal risk reports and dashboards used across the business.
- Become one of the subject matter experts for internal policies and processes including managing the Valuation Controls Manual.
- Contribute to quarter end, month end and key milestone reporting.
- Use analytical skills to interpret and analyse data, identify trends, and generate actionable recommendations to inform and guide strategic decisions to management.
Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
- Detailed knowledge of RICS “Red Book” requirements.
- Knowledge of current trends and emerging issues in residential surveying and valuation.
- Proven practical expertise in completing a wide range of valuation and survey instructions.
Desirable
- Experience in residential surveying and valuation market.
- Understanding of the end-to-end mortgage origination process.
Qualifications
- Minimum AssocRICS, (MRICS or FRICS desirable).
- Valuer Registration Scheme accreditation
