Penetration Tester – Defence & Intelligence Sector

Salary: Up to £55,000

Location: Fully Remote (Client site visits as required, up to one week at a time)

Clearance: Active SC required, DV clearance eligibility essential

Certification: CRT or CSTM & CHECK Team Member

Our client is a trusted cyber security consultancy operating at the forefront of the defence and intelligence sector , delivering cutting-edge offensive security services to high-profile government clients. They\’re looking to expand their elite team with a CHECK Team Member who can combine technical excellence with discretion and professionalism.

What You\’ll Do:

• Conduct comprehensive penetration testing across infrastructure, applications, and bespoke systems
• Perform engagements in line with CHECK standards, including red/purple teaming and threat-led testing
• Produce detailed, high-quality reports and debriefs for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Travel to client sites across the UK as required (Can be up to one week at a time)

✅ What You’ll Need:

• CRT or CSTM qualification (essential)
• CHECK Team Member status
• Active SC Clearance (Security Check)
• Willingness and eligibility to undergo DV Clearance (Developed Vetting)
• Strong understanding of offensive security techniques, tooling, and frameworks (e.g. MITRE ATT&CK, C2 frameworks)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
