Product Engineer

Job title: Product Engineer Location: Leeds – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role. Salary: Up to £46,000 depending on skills and experience What you\’ll be doing: Develop, improve and maintain tools that build, deploy, automate and streamline code management and the release and deployment process Interface with development and operations teams and demonstrate commitment to the success of project deliverables Proactively support issues related to infrastructure and application deployments Provide assurance and guidance on build and deployment best-practices and configuration management to development, test and production environments Be responsible for providing ongoing support, upgrade and maintenance for the technology components Your skills and experiences: Essential: Good working knowledge of Linux, Networking and PKI Administration of source control systems (git) Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools Desirable: Knowledge of the Atlassian suite Good understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps, SRE Previous experience of software build practices, release and change management Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
