Equifind are supporting a growing financial services group based across London and Croydon, who are looking to bring on an experienced and hands-on Group Financial Controller. This is a key hire within the business – someone to take full ownership of the month-end process, management reporting, statutory accounts, and support the leadership team with strong financial oversight. You’ll be managing a small team and play a pivotal role in helping the business scale. This would suit someone confident in the detail, but also able to step back and see the bigger picture. It’s a broad and varied role – ideal for someone who enjoys getting stuck in and taking real ownership. Key Responsibilities: Full ownership of the monthly close and management accounts Preparation of board packs and financial analysis for leadership Year-end reporting and liaison with auditors Managing a small finance team and helping support their development Overseeing cashflow, budgeting and forecasting Ensuring compliance with regulatory and financial standards Partnering with senior stakeholders across the business About You: Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) At least 2 years post-qualified experience Strong understanding of UK GAAP. US GAAP would also be advantageous Strong technical knowledge, with hands-on experience of month-end and year-end processes Comfortable leading a small team and mentoring junior staff Proactive, solutions-focused, and a strong communicator Comfortable working across multiple sites (Croydon & Central London) Compensation: £80,000–£90,000 base salary Annual discretionary bonus Employer pension contributions 25 days’ holiday per year A range of insurance benefits and wellbeing initiatives Plus, a host of other great benefits!41bf1e1f-b16b-4260-a40a-17c77a06fd15
