?? Contract LLM Engineer – £450/day – Hybrid (London)?? Location: Hybrid – 2 days/week in Central London?? Day Rate: £450/day (Outside IR35)?? Duration: 3–6 months?? Start Date: August (flexible)?? About the RoleWe’re looking for a contract LLM Engineer to support the development of GenAI-powered tools for document understanding, summarisation, and intelligent search. You’ll be working with a small, agile team focused on deploying open-source models into production environments.?? Key Responsibilities
- Fine-tune and evaluate LLMs for domain-specific tasks
- Build and optimise RAG pipelines using vector databases
- Develop prompt engineering strategies and orchestration flows
- Integrate models into backend services via APIs
- Implement evaluation frameworks for response quality and reliability
?? Essential Skills
- Strong Python skills and experience with Hugging Face Transformers
- Familiarity with LLM fine-tuning and inference optimisation
- Experience with vector search and embeddings (e.g. FAISS, Pinecone)
- Understanding of prompt engineering and few-shot learning
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid, agile environment
