Job Description
GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a well established & highly progressive H&S consultancy business recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor with varied sector experience.
For this key H&S role, you must have previous experience in a H&S consultancy, providing external H&S services to an array of differing clients.
You will assist companies in implementing Health & Safety policies, working closely with the senior management team to continually improve and maximise the quality and consistency of the company’s H&S measures.
You will also conduct H&S training (class room & online) as part of the H&S services.
This key H&S role requires you to instigate and implement effective Health & Safety standards and procedures across end using clients businesses, you will be a H&S professional who is used to assisting in the implementation of H&S procedures that drive a change in culture.

Duties:
- Support the on-going development, delivery, management and monitoring of the health and safety management systems within various end using clients businesses
- Assist in the development and implementation of new H&S initiatives.
- Support clients in installing a positive H&S culture and a serious approach by all, in ensuring safety, health and accident prevention.
- Provide consistent professional H&S advice and guidance to site management teams and employees
- Developing, implementing & reviewing risk assessments & method statements (RAMS) for clients sites, and supporting site management in developing the RAMS for site specific work tasks.
- Create and deliver external health and safety training (on customers sites & online, plus classroom settings)
- Undertake focused health and safety inspections / reviews to verify compliance and highlight any areas for improvement / refinement.
- Support the clients Investigations and reports on accidents/incidents and Support the response to any external health and safety complaints.
- Provide H&S updates, statistics and reports if a client requests such things.
Experience & Skills:
- Chartered H&S professional
- Degree in H&S
- NEBOSH National Diploma
- Grad IOSH as a minimum, desirable CMIOSH or working towards it.
- Experience of working for a H&S consultancy, providing external H&S support to varying clients, across various industry sectors
- A thorough knowledge of H&S regulations and legislation.
- Experience of accident investigation, statement taking and report writing.
- Experience in delivering H&S training
- Proven experience in developing and delivering practical health and safety solutions.
- A consultative approach to supporting clients as a H&S business partner
