We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter (Maternity Cover) to join our team at one of our workplace restaurants in Cambridge CB25.
This is a temporary 6-month contract starting September 2025. Working pattern is Monday to Thursday, 8am to 3:30pm, and Friday 8am to 1pm.
Wilson Vale is an established, quality-led contract caterer. We work with amazing clients across the UK who value great food as a key part of their culture and community. Our work spans office restaurants, independent schools, and conference venues, maintaining a high-end ethos throughout.
As our Kitchen Porter, you will maintain the highest standards of service presentation, cleanliness, and food preparation. You will work as part of a team with excellent customer care skills and attention to detail. Your role is vital to the overall functioning of the kitchen, contributing to a clean, safe, and organized environment for food preparation. The role can be physically demanding and involves repetitive tasks.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in a similar role and environment
- Highly organized and able to work in a high-pressure environment
- High standards of food hygiene and adherence to health and safety rules
- Maintain hygiene standards and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
- Excellent customer service and social skills
- Responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff
