Motorola Solutions UK Limited. The CNC Machine Shop at ZUK136 is a key part of our manufacturing operations, focusing on precise machining of components for our surveillance and security systems. Our team of CNC Lathe / Turner engineers collaborates across programming, setup, and inspection to deliver high-quality parts.
Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Set up CNC machines, including loading materials, selecting appropriate tools, and programming per specifications.
- Programming: Develop CNC programs using CAM software and/or G-code (preferably Fanuc) for machining operations.
- Operation: Operate CNC machines to produce parts within specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Quality Control: Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with CNC machines, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tools.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine setups, tool changes, and production runs.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to achieve production goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements in machining processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Basic Requirements / Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Lathe operator with a strong understanding of machining processes.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Keen attention to detail and precision in machining tasks.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues during machine operation.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
- Stamina to stand for extended periods during operation.
