Role Overview
FM Conway is seeking a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dedicated Water and Drainage Management team. In this vital role, you’ll help protect communities and keep essential infrastructure running smoothly. Working as part of a team, you’ll be at the front line of drainage operations, maintaining and cleaning various aspects of Sewage Treatment Plants using a specialised Superflex combination unit to ensure that the treatment plants are cleaned efficiently and support a healthier environment. This is a full‑time, permanent role based in Colchester, Essex.
Duties
- Carrying out a wide range of drainage services, including high‑pressure water jetting (HPWJ) and using the Superflex Combination Unit to carry out works on various tanks at Sewage treatment plants.
- Responding promptly to drainage issues and emergency call‑outs, tackling blockages, overflows, and other urgent problems to keep water flowing safely and efficiently.
- Supporting planned and reactive maintenance by clearing, cleaning, and repairing of sewage treatment plants as part of routine operations.
Skills and experience
- Class 2 licence and a valid Driver CPC.
- Strong commitment to health and safety.
- Previous experience in the drainage industry.
