PXO are looking for an AV Technician to join us for a fixed term contract, working on-set at our Virtual Production stage.
This role requires a solid understanding of permanent Audio-Visual integrated systems, troubleshooting techniques, and a passion for new technologies.
You will be collaborating within the Engineering and Operations departments to ensure installations align with project specifications, and function within requirements for internal production staff and external clients.
This role sits in an intersection between the IT, AV, Film, and Broadcast industry. While this is not a client-facing role, candidates with good communication skills are needed to ensure successful deployments and continued operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret design drawings and accurately mark up any drawing changes
- Commission a project based on design drawings provided
- Maintaining regular written and verbal job status with Project Managers
- Collaborate with third-party representatives to address AV-specific needs.
- Document the installation progress with site photographs
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in the Audio-Visual Industry
- 2-3 years of Field experience installing Video Walls or Commercial Signage
- Valid Working at Heights required
- Valid Driving License and Access to vehicle for site visits
- Responsible, self-motivated, well-organised, and personable.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with composure.
- Working with a wide variety of AV, broadcast/film equipment, and network systems
- Strong knowledge of category cable and fiber optic specifications
- Troubleshooting Analog and Digital signals
- Comfortable with Serial RS-232 interfaces
