Base Pay Range
$15.00/hr – $17.50/hr
Responsibilities
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Register sales on assigned cash register, provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
- Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Share customer service best practices with all team members.
- Recommend items for sale and trade‑up or companion items.
- Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
- Maintain counters, shelves, and displays; keep them clean, merchandised, and updated.
- Take inventory and manage records; price merchandise as required.
- Implement company asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Assist with food item separation and stock rotation using first‑in, first‑out method.
- Provide customer service in the photo area and assist with web pick‑up responsibilities.
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly store condition.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate.
Basic Qualifications
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
