We are looking for a Head of Learning & Development at The Ivy Collection!

The Head of Learning & Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the learning and development strategy across the organisation. This leadership role focuses on enhancing employee performance, fostering professional growth, and building capabilities to achieve organisational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong vision for L&D and the ability to develop strategy to support current and future needs of the business as we continue to grow and expand the business. With excellent leadership skills, experience of operational L&D, a collaborative mindset and a passion for developing a culture of continuous learning the Head of L&D will be a key leadership role within our People team., Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with organisational objectives, supporting the current business need and future growth plans.

  • Identify areas of added value where the L&D agenda can further support the business objectives.

  • Develop learnings programmes to address current skills gaps and future workforce needs, creating targeted development programs that support and enhance the employee and guest experience.

  • Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and professional growth across the organisation.

Program Development and Delivery

  • Design and oversee high-impact learning programs, including leadership development, onboarding, technical training, and soft skills training.

  • Leverage technology and e-learning platforms to deliver scalable, innovative learning solutions.

  • Evaluate and implement emerging trends, tools, and methodologies in L&D.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Key leadership role within the People Team, reporting into the Head of People and working closely with the Head of Talent Acquisiton to achieve people agenda and enhance the employee experience.

  • Partner with business leaders and Operational teams to understand organisational goals and individual development needs.

  • Act as a trusted advisor on talent development and learning initiatives.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the L&D team to deliver high-quality training programs.

  • Ensure alignment and consistency in delivering L&D initiatives across all locations and departments.

Measurement and Analytics

  • Establish metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of learning initiatives.

  • Analyse data to continuously improve the impact of L&D programs on employee performance and organisational outcomes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • 6+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing L&D strategies that drive organisational performance.

  • Strong understanding of instructional design, adult learning principles, and the latest training technologies.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics to measure program success.

  • Experience working with e-learnings and app-based training tools.

  • Experience working in a multi-site business, preferably in the hospitality or retail sector.

  • Employee engagement.

  • Leading and developing multi-level leadership training for operational roles.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • Experience in change management and organizational transformation initiatives.

  • Certification in training methodologies, coaching, or relevant areas (e.g., CPLP, ATTENSI, SHRM-CP/SCP, or similar).

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Proactive, innovative, and results-oriented mindset.
