Job Description
Our client is a successful and growing contract catering company and they are currently recruiting for a Chef Manager for one of their school contracts based near Guildford, Surrey.
They are looking for someone with great cooking and people management skills. You will be an experienced Chef Manager, used to cooking using fresh seasonal ingredients at volume, managing your kitchen and liaising directly with onsite clients. As manager you will head up the team, making sure service runs smoothly and that all due diligence is adhered to.

Hours:
-27.5 hours per week
-Monday to Friday 8.30am-2pm
-39 weeks per year
Duties and responsibilities:
•As Chef Manager you will lead the kitchen team
•Cook from the menu using fresh seasonal ingredients
•Complete all stock ordering, rotas, and people management
•Be responsible for health and safety, food safety and hygiene compliance
•Being financially accountable for the unit in regard to GP
•Liaising with the client
Skills & Experience required:
•Previous experience as a Chef Manager used to cooking using fresh ingredients at volume ideally in schools/education
•Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate staff
•Strong technical cooking skills
•Good financial skills
•Excellent organisational and administrative skills
•Food hygiene and food preparation qualifications essential
