Job Description
About the role:
At Holland & Barrett, we're on a mission to make health and wellness a way of life for everyone — and technology is a key enabler of that vision. As we evolve into a leading omni-channel retailer, we're investing heavily in cutting-edge technology to create seamless, personalised experiences across every touchpoint.
Whether it's faster retail journeys, smarter delivery, or a deeply tailored online experience — technology is powering it all. Our teams are agile, cloud-first, and customer-obsessed. We build what's right for our business, not just what's available off the shelf, and we automate and test at every level.
This role sits within our Online Customer Experience (OCX) vertical — the team behind our web and mobile e-commerce platforms. We're nearing the end of a transformative multi-year tech evolution and stepping into a new chapter of innovation, building standout digital propositions that redefine how our customers experience health and wellness.
You'll be a technical leader within the squad, helping shape the design and delivery of new features, mentoring engineers, and working closely with teams across the business to build exceptional digital products.
What You'll Be Doing

-
Deliver high-quality, cross-functional software that's scalable, secure, and customer-focused
-
Collaborate across teams to ensure projects are completed on time and to spec
-
Stay at the forefront of tech by learning and sharing new practices, and keeping an eye on neighbouring disciplines (QA, UX, Product)
-
Mentor and develop your team, supporting both technical growth and soft skills
-
Make decisions with a big-picture mindset, taking into account new information and business context
-
Communicate complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
-
Build a deep understanding of our customers' needs and make sure your team's work reflects that
-
Own and plan for security, compliance, and operational impact as part of every development cycle
