Our client is a Boutique Hotel and wedding Venue. We are looking for a talented Banqueting Chef to join their passionate team. They are known for their high standard of food, and cater for corporate events, as well as weddings and functions. They are well established in the local area and have won numerous awards for their cuisine.

They are looking for a strong and creative event chef to join their team, someone who is confident and innovative, and who has a fresh, modern take on catering. They are ideally looking for someone with an events / banqueting background, and as they do busy functions catering for large numbers, the ideal chef will need to be organised, remaining calm under pressure, and a team player.

The successful Banqueting Chef will be able to demonstrate an events/banqueting background and have flair and originality to bring to the team. The Chef must be a competent all-rounder, able to cover all sections, and have knowledge of stock taking, GP’s and hygiene legislation.

The ideal Chef will have a real passion for high level cuisine and fantastic food presentation, whilst being able to work in a team, they should also be confident in taking their own initiative. They will be innovative with concepts and ideas, always looking to better the current standard whilst remembering their target audience. This catering establishment deal with high volume, so a candidate with experience in busy, high intensity is essential.

Qualifications and Skills Required

NVQ in professional cookery preferred but not essential

Experience working within a 2AA Rosette venue

Minimum of 1 years’ experience working as a Banquet / Event Chef

Level 2 Health & Hygiene

Due to the location of the position, a car driver will be essential.
