A nurturing and inclusive nursery in Lambeth is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurser Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a part-time, long-term basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Early Years professional looking to make a real difference in a supportive and child-centered environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will provide focused 1:1 or small group SEN intervention support to children aged 2–4 years, helping to ensure they can fully access and benefit from the Early Years curriculum.
Key responsibilities include:

Delivering tailored support for children with additional needs

Working closely with SENCOs and the wider nursery team

Contributing to SEN plans and learning targets

Using observation and assessment to monitor progress

Supporting children’s social, emotional, and communication development
Candidate Requirements:

A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)

Experience working with children with SEN in an Early Years setting

Strong communication skills and a sensitive, proactive approach

A genuine passion for inclusive Early Years education
The role begins in September 2025 with hours from 11:30am to 4:30pm, then moving to a morning schedule of 8:30am to 1:30pm from October onwards. This is a long-term, ongoing opportunity during term time only.
