A lovely, well-organised primary school in Lambeth is looking for an experienced school administrator to take responsibility for admissions, attendance, welfare/first aid, stakeholder engagement, general office duties and safeguarding.
Job role
In this role you will be based in the school office and be required to undertake a range of administrative duties and provide medical and welfare support to pupils as required.
As the school administration and welfare officer your role will include:
- Dealing with visitor and parents queries and questions
- Providing first-aid, initial medical care to pupils as required.
- Reporting accidents/incidents and contacting parents/carers.
- Coordinate emergency care.
- General admin tasks and any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Office Manager or school business manager.
- Support school stock management, ordering and monitoring.
- Supporting finance procedures, recording dinner monies and trip monies – manage ParentPay.
- Daily use of Word, Excel and SIMS.
The school are looking for an administrator who has:
- Previous experience in a school office
- Knowledge of SIMS and Microsoft
- A valid first aid qualification.
- GCSE in English and Maths grade c or above
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Have a friendly and calm approach
- A commitment to safeguarding children
- Willingness to undertake further training
Additional training will be provided where necessary.
The school are offering the role as a contract basis initially. Please note we are only able to accept applications from administrators with a minimum of 3 months experience working in a school office and a valid first aid qualification.
