Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a dynamic and expanding business. Following recent investment, the group has significantly increased in size, with further growth planned in the coming years.This newly created role is ideal for someone with strong management accounting experience looking to step into a more commercially focused and hands-on position. You'll join a collaborative finance team and support reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis across the business.Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journals
  • Support the annual budgeting and regular forecasting processes
  • Align revenue recognition with operational and sales activity
  • Prepare reporting for inclusion in monthly board packs
  • Analyse margins by revenue stream and support initiatives to improve profitability
  • Monitor and manage overheads against budget
  • Contribute to integration of newly acquired businesses into the group reporting framework
  • Assist in improving finance systems and processes
  • Support the annual audit process and maintain accurate financial records

The ideal candidate

  • Experience in a management accounting role, ideally within a fast-paced or multi-entity environment
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working across teams and engaging non-finance stakeholders
  • A hands-on, detail-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
