Financial Accountant (Inventory)

We’re seeking a Financial Accountant with expertise in inventory accounting to support a major finance transformation journey. You’ll join a fast-paced, high-performance business that blends glamour, technology, and world-class precision in everything it does.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end close for key business areas, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Manage inventory accounting along with a range of smaller cost areas.

  • Reconcile and analyse balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies and enhancing auditability.

  • Review contracts to ensure correct technical accounting treatment and prepare supporting papers.

  • Support statutory and cost cap audits through the provision of robust financial data.

  • Complete UK and overseas VAT returns

  • Collaborate with business and finance stakeholders to develop and optimise the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics), with a focus on automation and control.

  • Contribute to wider finance transformation initiatives, helping to establish best-in-class financial systems and processes.

Candidate Profile

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.

  • Experience in inventory accounting within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and enhance financial controls.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, collaborative, and commercially focused environment.
