Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a professional Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a temporary basis for the Rotherham Markets project. This role is initially for three months, with a strong likelihood of extension. The Quantity Surveyor will provide crucial support and expertise, aligning with the responsibilities of a Project Manager but with additional specific requirements.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide a full quantity surveying service from project inception to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage and control project budgets and oversee the management of construction frameworks responsible for the delivery of multi-million-pound contracts.
- Offer advice and make recommendations on quantity surveying and framework matters to colleagues and clients.
- Ensure adherence to cost, performance standards, and advice required by the Council and clients.
- Liaise with consultants, technical staff, and stakeholders to provide a coordinated service to clients.
- Promote and market services to develop the external client base and manage the commercial aspects of the frameworks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive experience in quantity surveying and framework management.
- In-depth knowledge of legal and statutory regulations associated with construction and framework management.
- Proficiency in contract documents production, contract options advice, and contractor appointment.
- Strong experience in managing construction frameworks and procurement regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions involving complex factors.
- ICT proficiency in various systems and applications relevant to the role.
