Responsibilities

  • Expert mechanical and electrical system knowledge with the ability to identify, diagnose and rectify breakdowns
  • Ensure plant and equipment performance meets operational efficiency and compliance standards
  • Deliver and improve planned preventative maintenance across the site whilst maintaining CMMS records
  • Lead on instrumentation, process controls and PLC-related tasks (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley)
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production
  • Provide training and support to new and existing team members

Controls Engineer Requirements

  • Apprentice trained or equivalent engineering qualification
  • Strong PLC knowledge (Diagnosing & programming)
  • Be prepared to assist other sites with PLC systems or small automation projects (remote or on-site)
  • Experience delivering Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
