Job Description
Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for Galvanising Operatives based in Great Yarmouth. Our client has more than 60 years’ experience in hot dip galvanising techniques, working for multi-national engineering companies, power suppliers, local authorities and independent fabricators.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Working in a very busy, large open warehouse that Process steel/metal poles/rods, frames etc.
- The bare product is placed into a hot enclosure where the outer-coating is added, it is then placed into a large liquid butt to cool. When cool, you will be responsible for moving the product out of the cooling butt; you will then use hand held tools to clean the ends of the poles/frames and check the outer surface for any mis-shaped/un-smooth areas.
- When the product has been checked, you will be responsible for moving it to the stacking area in the outer warehouse. There will be a manual pump up pallet truck to assist moving the pallets around the warehouse and yard, if the product is too large, there is a forklift available.
- Any other duties as required.
Shift pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- 06:00 until 14:00
- 14:00 until 22:00
