Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to be based on a single high-security site in Stevenage, working on behalf of a major government contractor. This is a static role, focused on maintaining the safe and effective operation of all building services across the site. The successful Electrical Engineer will deliver planned and reactive maintenance, ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, and contribute to a high standard of client satisfaction. Due to the nature of the site, security clearance will be required, and the successful candidate must be willing to undergo the necessary checks. Key Responsibilities * Responsibility for electrical PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames to exceed customer expectations. * Responsibility for other types of building services maintenance, including fabric, HVAC, mechanical, and related tasks. * Provide callout response for the client as required. * Undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring contractors and their workmanship to ensure relevant standards are met, including issuing Permits to Work. * Ensure that all electrical equipment within scope operates to specified performance criteria. * Ensure equipment and surrounding areas conform to agreed company standards. * Provide a professional service and represent the company in a way that ensures high customer satisfaction. * Evaluate performance and ensure proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract is carried out. * Take a proactive approach to client liaison, ensuring concerns are addressed directly or escalated as needed. * Maintain full awareness of contractual obligations and client expectations at all times. * Ensure all administrative requirements are completed on time and all documentation is accurately maintained. * Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including risk assessments, COSHH, and company procedures. * Suggest and implement improvements or innovations to enhance the level of service provided. Qualifications & Essential Skills * Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent). * Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in a facilities maintenance or building services environment. * Strong knowledge of electrical systems, compliance requirements, and health & safety standards. * Comfortable carrying out minor mechanical, fabric, or HVAC tasks as needed. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Ability to work independently on a secure, sensitive site. * Must be willing to complete and pass government security clearance checks. * Professional, reliable, and proactive approach to work
