Job Description
Very seldom do opportunities like this arise within the local insurance market.
Known by many as the most prestigious insurance broker in the world, our client has a rare opportunity for a Corporate Account Executive to inherit an existing portfolio in Reading. It is worth noting this position has come about due to the incumbent Account Executive emigrating, so there is no need to fear the portfolio âcoming under attackâ in due course.
Speaking to the Director on our recent briefing call, it quickly became very evident just how well this branch is performing. They are consistently growing their account via the acquisition of quality corporate accounts; in fact, today they had just acquired two world-leading clients from competing brokers!
âOur growth brings great opportunities for peopleâ, cites the Director. âAmbitious insurance professionals can pretty much go on to do anything that they want within our business, and we will support them every step of the way.â
Upon joining the company, you will inherit a book of circa 12 â 15 corporate clients, meaning this is a manageable number of accounts that you can really get to know well, and with whom you can build meaningful relationships. The portfolio can be tweaked to suit your experience, skills and interests, and there are a wide range of accounts available, spanning fascinating sectors such as Hospitality, Life Sciences, Property, Manufacturing, Retail, Wholesaling, Health & Social Care, just to name a few. Risks here tend to generate individual fee income from ÂŁ25K â ÂŁ100K, with some generating much more than this. It is worth stressing that this is not a sales-oriented position. The focus is very much on the management of existing accounts rather than developing new business, and it is anticipated that portfolio growth is most likely to be achieved by cross and up-selling ancillary covers and services.
Whilst Corporate broking experience would certainly be welcome, our client also welcomes applications from aspiring Commercial Account Executives, who are genuinely excited about the opportunity to deal with major corporate risks. Moreover, youâll be passionate about being a true ârisk adviserâ, and genuinely interested in tailoring truly bespoke insurance solutions for your clients. Itâs also essential that you are capable of liaising effectively with senior members at board level, and that you have polished communication and presentation skills.
Youâll be supported by a highly competent Account Handling and Broking team, who will free up your time to do what you do best; advising customers and building lasting relationships.
This refreshing business boasts a formidable employee retention rate, and it is well-known for being one of the most caring insurance organisations, which takes its employeesâ wellbeing very seriously.
Youâll be rewarded with an attractive basic salary (to rival opportunities in the London market), car allowance and lucrative annual bonus, together with an impressive range of flexible-benefits that can be tweaked to suit your personal circumstances.
Youâll also benefit from a hybrid-working arrangement, allowing you the flexibility to work between the office, home, and client visits, as required.
