Senior Planner β Highways
Location: Yorkshire
A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to support the successful delivery of highways projects across Yorkshire. The role involves managing and updating construction programmes to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust construction schedules, including updates to Cl32 Programmes
- Coordinate with delivery teams to assess risks, opportunities, and project milestones
- Plan and sequence construction activities, considering project-wide constraints
- Facilitate construction readiness and collaborative planning sessions
- Liaise with subcontractors and assess their programme submissions
- Produce and update programme reports, metrics, and schedules
- Support cost loading, earned value analysis, and Time-Location charts (TILOS) where needed
- Evaluate programme impacts from compensation events and changes
Requirements:
- Strong background in planning civil infrastructure projects
- Experience building programmes from scratch using Primavera P6
- Previous experience in a contractor environment is essential
- Ideally progressed from a site engineering background
- Strong understanding of how civil works are delivered on-site
- Team player with the ability to work independently when required
