Senior Control Systems Engineer
A growing engineering and technology business based in High Wycombe is seeking a talented Control Systems Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, research-driven environment developing and supporting bespoke high-tech equipment used in advanced material applications.
The role offers a broad range of responsibilities, from maintaining and developing control systems software to supporting production and contributing to R&D initiatives.
Key Responsibilities of Senior Control System Engineer:

Maintain and update existing PC-based software
-
Maintain and support PLC software (Mitsubishi preferred)
-
Assist in the creation of system schematics and interlock designs
-
Ensure safety and reliability of system controls

Create and manage documentation for all software changes

Provide fault-finding and technical troubleshooting support

Collaborate with the sales team on technical matters

Work alongside test and installation teams to ensure FAT documentation is up to date

Contribute to R&D and new product development activities
Requirements of the Senior Control System Engineer:

Degree in engineering or science (or equivalent industry experience)

Experience with industrial control software and electronics

Familiarity with PC software development (VB.net preferred)

PLC programming experience (ideally Mitsubishi)

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Self-motivated with a proactive and positive approach
Desirable Skills:

Experience working with scientific or technical instrumentation
