This is a unique opportunity to join a business at the forefront of automotive innovation, focusing on customs systems and technology projects. Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, UK/IE laws and internal guidelines related to supply chain security programs, export control, governance and reporting activities. Design, enable, run and operate customs and export control management processes and systems to assure compliant customs and export control operations. Drive efforts to minimise expenses, reduce delays and secure the various supply chains our client is involved in. Advise the business on customs and export control risks. Support audit management, system maintenance, including harmonisation, synchronisation and distribution of data and projects in regards of customs and export control. About You You will be an excellent and efficient communicator, stress tolerant, pro-active (‘self-starter’), assertive and resilient. 3+ years of knowledge of trade compliance (customs and export control) regulations. 3+ years of SAP experience or any other Trade Compliance/Tax system (MIC, etc.), especially in FI, MM, SD modules or SAP GTS or other customs and export control/trade applications/tool preferred. 5+ years of experience demonstrating analytical skills. 3+ years of experience working collaboratively in a team environment. 5+ years of experience demonstrating effective communication skills. 3+ years of experience working in a customer-focused environment. Additionally, you will need to be able to learn and understand complex technical issues quickly and have strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships and communicate with associates at all levels across the business. Able to combine UK/IE customs/international trade functional knowledge and business acumen to give practical UK/IE advice and navigate complex challenges including having an awareness of international customs and trade issues. Ability to undertake customs and international trade analysis and prepare customs/international trade workings covering a range of UK/IE customs/international trade technical areas, with an ability to drive improvements in processes. Willingness to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities. International and/or Industry experience preferred. Knowledge of Customs CDS system preferred. This position may entail some domestic and occasional international travel (25-50%).
